哈里梅根携宝宝首亮相

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have named their newborn son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The announcement came after the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh met their eighth great-grandchild for the first time at Windsor Castle. 

苏塞克斯公爵哈里和公爵夫人梅根给他们刚刚出生的儿子取名为阿尔奇•哈里森•蒙巴顿-温莎。宝宝名字公布前，英国女王和爱丁堡公爵在温莎堡首次见到了他们的第八个重孙。

Introducing him to the cameras earlier in Wednesday, Meghan said: "He has the sweetest temperament, he's really calm." Talking about their first few days as parents, the duke said: "It's great. Parenting is amazing." 

当地时间8日清晨，哈里王子夫妇携宝宝亮相。梅根表示："小阿尔奇有着最甜美的气质，他很安静。"在谈到两人初为父母的这几天时，哈里说："非常棒，养育孩子真是令人惊叹。"

Meghan said: "It's magic, it's pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I'm really happy." 

梅根则表示："这真是太神奇了，我拥有世界上最棒的两个男人，真的很幸福。"

On which parent the baby resembled more, Harry said: "Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks. We're basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows."

在宝宝容貌更像谁的问题上，哈里表示："大家都说宝宝在刚出生的前两周长相会改变很多，接下来的一个月我们会一直观察这个变化过程。不过他的模样每天都在改变，所以谁知道呢。"

Belgium has dirtiest stream

欧洲最毒小溪可作农药

A little stream in a Flemish countryside of Belgium has won the crown as the most polluted small waterway in Europe, according to research from the University of Exeter. 

埃克塞特大学进行的研究显示，位于比利时弗拉芒乡下的一条小溪是欧洲污染最严重的小型水道。

The sample of the stream included 70 hazardous pesticides, including 38 weed killers, 10 insecticides, and 21 fungal killers, the research found. 

研究发现，这条小溪的水体样本中含有70种有害农药，其中包括38种除草剂、10种杀虫剂以及21种除真菌剂。

The stream was so polluted and in such high concentrations that the water itself would probably work as a pesticide, said Dr Jorge Casado, who led the analytical work.

负责分析工作的乔治•卡萨多博士表示，这条小溪污染非常严重，污染物浓度太高以至于溪水本身就能起到杀虫剂的作用。

Authorities in Binalonan, a small Filipino town about 200 kilometers north of Manila, have made gossiping illegal under a new local law aimed at preventing rumors from spreading within the community. 

菲律宾小镇比纳洛南(位于首都马尼拉以北约200公里处)的政府通过了一项新法令，禁止居民聊八卦，以防止流言在社区内散播。

Trash talking someone in Binalonan could see offenders literally picking up trash under a new local law designed to make people take responsibility for the things they say. 

按照当地的这项新法令，在比纳洛南说别人坏话将被罚捡垃圾，目的是让人们对自己所说的话负责。

First-time gossipers risk a fine of 200 pesos and three hours of collecting garbage in the streets, while repeat offenders would have to pay up to $20 and put in eight hours of community service. 

初犯者将被处200比索(约合人民币26元)的罚金和在街道上捡三小时垃圾，屡犯者将被处最高20美元(约合人民币135元)的罚金及8小时社区服务。

The law isn't very clear on what qualifies as gossip, but mayor Ramon Guico cited peddling rumors of residents' relationships or financial situations as examples of punishable offences.

法律条文没有明确界定何为八卦，不过镇长拉蒙•吉科举例说，散播居民恋爱关系的绯闻或经济状况的流言就会受到处罚。

Short video market booming
短视频将成新一轮风口?

The value of China's short video market is expected to hit 30 billion yuan in 2019 and surpass 40 billion yuan in 2020, according to a report released by data provider iResearch. 

数据提供商艾瑞咨询发布的一份报告显示，2019年我国短视频市场规模预计将达300亿元，2020年有望突破400亿元。

In the coming two years, the country's short video platforms will offer huge business opportunities, the report said, adding that large-scale capital inflows from internet giants will encourage more high-quality videos and ensure the rapid growth of the industry. 

报告称，未来两年我国的短视频平台将开放巨大商机。互联网巨头的大量资本注入将鼓励内容创作者生产更多更高质量的短视频，行业将迎来快速增长。

The number of China's online users hit 829 million, and the amount of short video platform users reached 648 million, according to a recently released report on China's internet development. 

近日发布的《中国互联网发展状况统计报告》显示，我国网民数量达8.29亿，使用短视频平台的用户数量为6.48亿。

Popular short video apps including Kuaishou and Douyin have gained traction throughout the country, and the short video market is predicted to see further explosive growth with the incoming commercial use of 5G.

快手、抖音等流行短视频应用在全国范围内日益火爆。随着5G网络全面商用，预计短视频市场将迎来新一轮爆发式增长。
