Even after doing things for sixteen years without magic, the fairies still had trouble with (为…苦恼) some tasks. While Flora and Merryweather struggled to make a dress, Fauna wondered how exactly to fold eggs into cake batter (面糊).

虽然度过了十六年从不用魔法做事情的日子，可是仙子们仍然有很多事情不在行。花拉仙子和蓝天仙子为了做裙子焦头烂额，而翡翠仙子连怎么把鸡蛋加进蛋糕面糊都不知道。

At the same time, Briar Rose happily visited with her animal friends. She told them that she had met a handsome prince . . . but only in her dreams. “They say if you dream a thing more than once, it’s sure to come true,” she sighed (叹气) as she began singing and dancing.

与此同时，蔷薇玫瑰正开心地和她的动物朋友们在一起。蔷薇玫瑰告诉它们，自己遇到了一位英俊的王子……可只是在梦里。“据说，如果能不止一次梦到相同的东西，梦就可以成真，”说完，她叹了口气，就开始唱歌跳舞了。

There actually was a prince nearby! Prince Phillip (菲力王子) spotted the beautiful girl and stepped out of the bushes to join her in a dance. They both felt as if they were in a dream.

其实，此时附近就有一位王子！菲力王子看到了美丽的蔷薇玫瑰，就从灌木丛中走了出来，和她一起跳起了舞。他们彼此都感觉好像是在梦中。

Briar Rose invited the young man to see her again that evening at the cottage. Neither knew the other’s name, only that they had fallen instantly—and deeply (深深地)—in love.

蔷薇玫瑰邀请这个年轻人到傍晚时再到小屋来找她。虽然他们都不知道对方的名字，可是他们已经很快就深深地相爱了。

Back at the cottage, Merryweather insisted (坚持认为) that the fairies give up on sewing and baking and instead use their magic to make everything perfect for Briar Rose. With the wave of a wand (魔杖), a dress was created in an instant. But Flora wanted it to be pink, while Merryweather wanted it to be blue. As the fairies argued, they kept changing the dress’s color by sending magical sparks (亮片) back and forth.

而在小屋里，蓝天仙子坚持让仙子们别再自己缝制裙子和烘焙蛋糕了，而是改用魔法为蔷薇玫瑰变出完美的礼物。她们一挥魔法棒，立刻就变出了一条裙子。但是花拉仙子认为粉色好看，而蓝天仙子更喜欢蓝色。两位仙子争辩不休，不停地来回发出魔法亮片改变裙子的颜色。

The colorful sparks soared (向上飞去) up and out of the chimney (烟囱) as Maleficent’s pet raven flew by. He stopped and saw Briar Rose return to the cottage. Then the wicked bird listened to all that was said before returning to Maleficent with a full report.

彩色的亮片向上飞舞，冲出了烟囱，而此时梅尔菲森特的宠物乌鸦恰好飞过。它停了下来，看到蔷薇玫瑰回到了小屋。随后，这只邪恶的鸟偷听了她们之间所有的对话，然后就回到梅尔菲森特身边，把一切都告诉了她。

Briar Rose loved the dress and the cake, but she couldn’t wait to tell her aunties about the wonderful young man she had just met. The fairies were shocked and hurried to tell the girl her true identity—and that it had already been arranged (安排，达成协议) that she would marry a prince.

蔷薇玫瑰很喜欢裙子和蛋糕，但是她迫不及待地把刚刚遇到英俊男子的事情告诉了婶婶们。婶婶们听了都很惊讶，赶紧把她的真实身份告诉了她——而且告诉她，她早就和一位王子订婚了。

Many a young girl would delight at finding out she was a princess betrothed (订婚) to a prince. But as Aurora dutifully (忠诚地) accompanied the fairies to the castle, her only thoughts were of the young man she had just met— and already fallen in love with (爱上).

如果年轻姑娘们发现自己是一位公主，还和一位王子订立了婚约，她们肯定都高兴极了。可是，爱洛虽然老老实实地陪着仙子们来到了城堡，但她脑海中只有刚刚遇到的年轻人——她已经爱上他了。

Before the sun set, the fairies sneaked Aurora into the castle. They presented her with her crown (皇冠) and gave her a few minutes alone. Aurora cried. She was heartbroken knowing that fate separated (分离) her from her true love.

日落之前，仙子们带爱洛悄悄进入了城堡。她们给她拿来了皇冠，给她留下几分钟独处时间。爱洛伤心地哭了。得知命运让她与真爱分离，爱洛的心都要碎了。
