It is summer.

这是一个夏天 。

There is no school. 

还没有开始上学。

Five little monkeys tell their mama, 

五只小猴子告诉他们的妈妈：

"We're bored. There is nothing to do!"

“我们很无聊，什么事情也没有！”

"Oh yes there is ,"says Mama. 

“哦，不，有的是事情做。”妈妈说。

"Grandma Bessie is coming for lunch, 

“贝西奶奶要来吃午饭，

and the house must be neat and clean."

我们得把房子打扫得又干净又整洁。”

"So…. you can pick up your room."

“所以，你们可以整理一下自己的房间。”

Five little monkeys pick up and pick up and pick up,

五只小猴子收呀收呀收，

until everything is put away.

直到所有东西都收拾起来了。

"Good job!" says Mama.

“干得好！”妈妈说。

"But we're bored again, "say five little monkeys.

“但是我们又很无聊了,”五只小猴子说。

"There is nothing to do!"

“什么能做的事情都没有！”

"Oh yes there is ,"says Mama,

“哦不，还有事情可以做，”妈妈说，

"You can scrub the bathroom.

“你们可以刷洗一下浴室。

The house must be neat and clean for Grandma Bessie."

贝西奶奶要来，整个房子都要又干净又整齐。”

So five little monkeys scrub and scrub and scrub

于是，五只小猴子刷呀刷呀刷呀，

until the bathroom shines.

直到浴室闪闪发光。

"Good job!" says Mama.

“干得好！”妈妈说。

"But we're bored again,"say five little monkeys. 

“但是我们又很无聊了，”五只小猴子说， 

"There is nothing to do!"

“什么能做的事情都没有！”

＂Oh yes there is ,＂says Mama.

“哦不，有的是事情可以做，”妈妈说，

"You can beat the dirt out of these rugs.

“你们可以把地毯里的灰尘都拍出来。

 The house must be neat and clean for Grandma Bessie."

 整个房子都要又干净又整齐地迎接贝西奶奶。”

Five little monkeys beat and beat and beat the rugs 

五只小猴子拍呀拍呀拍呀，

until there's not a speck of dirt left.

直到地毯里的灰尘全部被拍掉了。

"Good job!" says Mama. 

“做得好！”妈妈说。

"But we're bored again," say five little monkeys. 

“但是我们又无聊了，”五只小猴子说。

"There is nothing to do!"

“没事可做！”

"Oh yes there is ," says Mama. 

“哦，有事的，”妈妈说。

"You can pick some berries down by the swamp.

“你们可以去沼泽地里摘莓，

Grandma Bessie loves berries for dessert."

贝西奶奶喜欢用莓做甜点。”

Five little monkeys run down to the muddy,

五只小猴子跑向泥泞的，

muddy swamp.

泥泞的沼泽。

They pick and pick and pick berries until Mama calls, 

他们摘，摘，摘莓，直到妈妈喊道，

"It's time to come home!"

“到时间回家了！”

Five little monkeys run inside while Mama picks flowers. 

五只小猴子在妈妈摘花的时候，跑进了家。

"Put the berries in the kitchen," calls Mama. 

“把莓放在厨房里，”妈妈叫道。

"Wash your faces and put on clean clothes."

“洗洗脸，换上干净的衣服。”

Five little monkeys wash their faces...

五只小猴子洗脸…

... and they put on clean clothes. 

…换上干净的衣服。

"Grandma Bessie is here!" calls Mama.

“贝西奶奶已经到了！”妈妈叫道。

Five little monkeys race outside.

五只小猴子跑到外面。

They hug and kiss Grandma Bessie. 

他们拥抱，亲吻贝西奶奶。

“We’ve been busy all day!” they say. 

“我们一整天都很忙！”他们说。

“We cleaned the house and picked berries just for you!”

“我们打扫了房子，还专门为您采摘了莓！”

“I love berries,” says Grandma Bessie.

“我喜欢莓，”贝西奶奶说。

"And I love a clean house, too!"

“我也喜欢干净的房子！”

They all go inside.

他们都走到屋里。
 
 “Oh my!” says Grandma Bessie.

“哦，我的天！”贝西奶奶说。

“Oh dear!" says Mama.

“哦，亲爱的！”妈妈说。

"Oh no!" say five little monkeys.

“哦，不！”五只小猴子说。

"Who messed up our nice, clean house?"

“谁弄乱了我们漂亮，干净的房子？”
 
 "I can’t imagine," says Mama.

“我无法想象，”妈妈说。

"But whoever did has plenty to do!"

“但是不管是谁（弄乱房子的），他（将）有很多事要做！”
