As the demand for blockchain engineers and blockchain related business is going to increase, Zhejiang University, one of China's top universities and a leader in the game in supplying blockchain-related courses, is set to offer its first for-credit course on "Blockchain And Digital Currency" this fall, focusing on the cutting edge technology behind cryptocurrency and related digital practices. 

随着我国对区块链工程师及其相关行业需求的增长，浙江大学将于今秋提供首门《区块链与数字货币》的学分课程，关注加密货币及相关数字活动背后的尖端技术。浙江大学是国内顶尖学府之一，也是提供区块链相关课程的领军者。

The course will illustrate the technical architecture and development technology behind current mainstream blockchain platforms like HyperHedge, offer case studies in blockchain application and development trends in cryptocurrency, according to the university.

浙江大学称，这门课程将讲解支持HyperHedge等目前主流的区块链平台的技术架构和研发技术，提供学习区块链应用和加密货币发展趋势的案例。

The College of Computer Science of Zhejiang University established the blockchain research center on April 10 and it is set to work with students majoring in computer science, finance, and management, as well as mathematics.

本月10日，浙江大学计算机学院成立区块链研究中心，将与计算机科学、金融、管理和数学专业的学生开展合作。

Japan to levy 'departure tax'

日本明年向离境者征税

Japan's parliament enacted a bill to levy a departure tax of 1,000 yen. The new tax is scheduled to kick in on Jan 7, 2019, and applies to both Japanese and foreign travelers leaving the country by plane or ship. The levy will be added to airfares and ship fares specifically. 

日本国会参议院近日颁布了一项法案，将向离境者征收1000日元的"出境税"。按计划这项新税将于2019年1月7日起正式生效，对搭乘飞机或乘船离开日本的本国和外国游客均适用，将被特别计入到机票和船票票价中。

Toddlers under the age of two and transit passengers leaving Japan within 24 hours of arrival will be exempted. Revenue from the tax is estimated to amount to around 43 billion yen per fiscal year. The government aims to use the extra tax revenue to boost tourism infrastructure and promote travel destinations in rural Japan, as well as fund global tourism campaigns. 

两岁以下的儿童和24小时内离开日本的过境旅客将无需缴纳这笔税费。估计每个财政年这项税费收入可达430亿日元左右。日本政府旨在利用这笔额外税收改善基础设施，推广该国乡村旅游目的地并资助全球旅游活动。

Peppa Pig theme park set

Peppa Pig copyright holder Entertainment One (eOne) said it will cooperate with local animation and toy company Alpha to further develop the Chinese market and welcome the Year of the Pig. Since the broadcast rights for Peppa Pig were introduced to China in 2015, the preschool cartoon character from the UK has quickly dominated screens, becoming one of the most popular cartoons among Chinese children. 

《小猪佩奇》版权所有方eOne公司表示，将与中国本土动画和玩具企业奥飞公司合作，进一步开发中国市场并迎接中国猪年。自2015年《小猪佩奇》的播放权被引进中国以来，这部英国学前动画片迅速占领屏幕，成为最受中国小朋友喜爱的动画片之一。

So far, it has been broadcast 45 billion times on Chinese online video platforms iQiyi, Youku and Tudou. Peppa's promising performance in China, coupled with the Year of the Pig in 2019, as part of the Chinese Zodiac, has created a market opportunity for eOne. 

迄今为止，该动画片在中国网络视频平台爱奇艺、优酷和土豆上的播放量已达450亿人次。小猪佩奇在中国充满前景的表现加之2019年是中国生肖中的猪年，为eOne创造了市场机会。

Andrew Carley, eOne's executive vice-president, said the company is preparing to increase the popularity of Peppa by launching new themed toys and products, including opening a theme park and producing a three-year Peppa show around the country.

eOne执行副总裁安德鲁•卡利表示，该公司正准备发行新的主题玩具及产品以提高小猪佩奇的人气，其中包括开设一家主题乐园、开展为期三年的小猪佩奇全国巡回表演。

Wine cuts smoking damage

红酒可以缓解吸烟伤害

Smoking cigarettes is bad for you. But if you're going to smoke anyway, medical researchers recommend that you have some red wine beforehand. According to a newly published study, adequate drinking of red wine can help stave off some of the immediate damage that smoking does to your vascular system. 

吸烟有害健康，但如果实在无法远离烟草，医学研究者们建议吸烟前喝点红酒。根据一项最新公布的研究，适量摄入红酒可以帮助延缓吸烟对血管系统造成的直接伤害。

In the study, researchers looked at the biochemical effects of smoking on 20 healthy nonsmokers. The researchers found that wine drinkers didn't suffer the changes in their vascular systems that generally are caused by smoking, such as inflammation and cell damage. 

研究中，研究人员观察了香烟对于20名身体健康的非烟民的生化影响。研究人员发现，喝红酒的人的血管系统中不会出现炎症或细胞破损等这类通常而言由吸烟引起的变化。

Additionally, drinking wine before smoking also reduced harm done to the telomeres (端粒), the protective caps on the cells' chromosomes (染色体).

此外，烟前饮酒还能减少对端粒的伤害。端粒位于细胞染色体末端，负责保护染色体。
