At the post office, a woman walked up to the counter with a letter in her hand. She looked a bit nervous as she approached the clerk.
在邮局，一个女人手拿一封信，走到柜台前。她走近职员时显得有些紧张。
"I need to send this letter to my sister in Canada," she said, handing over the letter to the clerk.
“我需要把这封信寄给我在加拿大的妹妹，”她说着，递给职员那封信。
"Sure, do you have the address ready?" the clerk asked.
“好的，你已经准备好地址了吗？”职员问道。
The woman nodded and handed over a slip of paper with the address written on it. The clerk checked the address and asked, "Is this a residential or a business address?"
那个女人点了点头，递给职员一张写有地址的纸条。职员核对了地址，然后问道：“这是个居民地址还是商业地址？”
"It's a residential address," the woman replied.
“这是个居民地址，”那个女人回答道。
"Alright, the postage fee for a standard letter to Canada is $2.75. Do you want to send it by regular mail or express mail?" the clerk asked.
“好的，标准信件到加拿大的邮费是2.75美元。你想用普通邮寄还是快递邮寄？”职员问道。
"I'll go with regular mail, please," the woman said, paying the postage fee.
“我选择普通邮寄，”那个女人说着，交了邮费。
The clerk affixed the postage stamp to the letter and handed it back to the woman. "Thank you, your letter will be on its way soon," she said with a smile.
职员在信封上贴上邮票，然后把信封交还给那个女人。“谢谢，你的信件很快就会送出去了，”她微笑着说道。
