I went to the post office to buy some stamps for my letters. The line was long, but I was patient.
我去邮局买一些邮票寄我的信。队伍很长，但我耐心等待。
Finally, it was my turn. I approached the counter and asked for ten stamps.
最后轮到我了。我走到柜台前要了十张邮票。
The postal worker handed me a sheet of stamps and I handed over the money. As I was leaving, I noticed that one of the stamps was slightly crooked.
邮局工作人员递给我一张邮票，我交了钱。当我离开时，我发现其中一张邮票稍微歪了一点。
I went back to the counter and asked if I could exchange it for a straight one. The worker obliged and gave me a new stamp.
我回到柜台问是否可以换一张直的。工作人员同意并给了我一张新的邮票。
I thanked the worker and left the post office with my stamps in hand. I put one on each of my letters and dropped them in the mailbox.
我感谢工作人员，手里拿着我的邮票离开了邮局。我在每封信上贴了一张邮票并把它们投进了邮箱。
A few days later, my friend called to thank me for the letters. She said they had arrived safely and she loved the stamps I had used.
几天后，我的朋友打电话感谢我寄给她的信。她说信已经安全到达了，她喜欢我使用的邮票。
I smiled, happy that my small decision to exchange a crooked stamp had brought a smile to my friend's face.
我微笑着，很高兴我的小小决定能让我的朋友开心。
