▍原文
The British government finally apologized for one of the country’s worst-ever health care disasters.

Thousands of people in the U.K. died after being treated with unsafe blood products between 1970 and 1991. More than 30,000 people were infected with HIV or hepatitis C.

A long-running public inquiry concluded that the disaster could have been largely avoided. It offered up an excoriating report that blasted the officials for refusing to acknowledge their mistakes.
