An American cement maker has developed a technology that it says cuts levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) during production.

He told the AP he thinks the U.S. “has to do what it can to be a leader to help other countries” with their cement-producing methods. “But we have to get the rest of the world, particularly the Global South, as they industrialize to leapfrog some of the technologies we have.”
