When the Fire Happened-2
All the families were put in a hotel for the night. That immediate help came from the Red Cross office. But what would happen next? How would they get their lives back to normal?
Many people came to help-their neighbours, friends, relatives and strangers. They brought clothes, food, money and even teddy bears.
A week later, all the families settled into their newly rented houses.
Jessie's mother told her children,“So many people have helped us in this disaster. We must never forget what they have done for us."
The three children looked at their mom, and they all understood her.
Right away, they started to make special cards to thank their classmates for helping them. At the bottom of their cards, they added this message: Don't play with fire. It's dangerous!
