Finland–again–is the happiest country in the world.

Finns generally aren't "the most cheerful," said former Finland Prime Minister Sanna Marin, but "we have a good society," fueled by a welfare model that "enables everyone to have a good life."

Finland topped the World Happiness Report for the seventh year in a row. Each year, Finland spends billions of euros on pensions, health care costs, unemployment and other social services.
