Four children missing after Amazon plane crash 'are alive', according to military
Colombian authorities are close to locating four indigenous children who were on board a small plane that crashed in the Amazon jungle on May 1. Three adults were found dead aboard the plane, but the children, aged 13, nine, four and 11 months, are thought to be alive and searching for help. Military personnel and nearby Indigenous communities are searching the area, and various finds have been debated as possible links to the missing children. Colombian President Gustavo Petro previously announced on Twitter that the children had been found alive but retracted the statement.
