So today is nothing else, I just wanna spread the message that there is an antidote to xenophobia.
所以今天也没有别的，我只想传播这样一个信息—仇外情绪这种病症是有解药的
And It's communication, it's acceptance,it's open-mindedness,
这个解药是交流，是接纳，是一种开放的思想
it's friendship,it's love,and it's the truth.
是友谊，是爱，是真实
In fact,any one of those things,helps put xenophobia in its place.
这其中任何一种都能帮助消除仇外心理
So let's stop, let's stop being judgmental,
所以让我们停止，让我们停止肆意批判
let's stop discriminating chinese students on U.S. college campuses,
让我们停止歧视美国大学校园里的中国学生
because I can't think of a better way for China to understand the U.S.
因为留学生是我能想到的让中国理解美国最好的办法
than coming here, during the formative years.
这些学生在美国学习，成长
learning and befriending Americans, and going back home,
与美国人交朋友，学成以后回到家乡
knowing the truth that they are not all "no culture, not politic, and sometimes vulgar",
他们知道美国人并不都是“没文化，没策略，有时甚至很粗俗”
This isn't a zero-sum game.
这不是一场零和博弈
If you make 1 dollar, doesn't mean I have 1 dollar less in my pocket.
不是说如果你赚了一美元，那就意味着我损失了一美元
That's the type of thinking that leads to the trap, called the Thucydide's Trap.
这种想法会导致陷阱，一种叫修昔底德陷阱
We should learn from history,
我们应该以史为鉴
and know better than to fail for that old trap,
并且要领悟得更透彻，比跌落到那个古老的陷阱
instead,let's remember the words of Dale Carnegie,
让我们记住戴尔 卡耐基的一句话
when two people agree on everything,
若两人在所有事情上都意见一致
one of them is unnecessary.
则意味着其中一个人没有存在的必要
So let's stop being judgmental,
所以让我们停止肆意批判
and start appreciating each other's differences.
让我们开始欣赏彼此的差异
Because it's our differences and how we face them,
因为正视差异和我们对待差异的态度
that make us better.
让这个世界变得更好
