Lily: Hello. You're listening to Fly with Lily. Now I'm sitting here with Bella, my friend. Actually I met her quite unexpectedly in Guatemala during these day. I'm still in San Pedro. She left. She left me here but I just find her quite special. At first when I met her it was the feeling of starstruck, if you know what I mean, is like, oh I'm meeting a movie star. Because my friend Brian was introducing her before I met her and I was just like, oh, I'm quite nervous about meeting her. And finally I met her. She's really friendly, a little bit goofy and I really like her, although she left me, but I just think she's amazing woman doing what she loves and she's helping a lot of people with her skill, which we are going to talk about a little bit. So now I'm going to bring her here and then to interview from her point of view. So Bella, how do we meet? Exactly. And then what was the first meeting? What was the first impression?

Bella: Hi Lily. Well, first of all, I was very excited to meet you because I love your energy and I felt like we were kindred spirits. Maybe we live together in a past life as sisters or something <laugh>. But it was an instant connection and it was a very interesting way that we met because I actually met your roommate who was also your “hermano” which is you called your brother.

Lily: Yeah, my brother from another mother.

Bella: You guys were a little “la familia” there. We met because I had met Brian the day before at a dance party in the jungle. And it was a very interesting to say the least type of dance party. It was a little creepy. Go outright and say <laugh>. It was, I'm a very spiritual person. I go to a lot of these spiritual events. But this one in particular, the vibes were very off and they were making us do some weird things called contact dance where we had to touch each other and stare into each other's eyes with strangers. And some of the people there were a little off, a little weird and I did not wanna stare into their eyes. But I did it for a minute and then I walked away and I was like, this is not for me. I'm not touching these people.I don't wanna do this. And Brian was there and he was actually the most normal one at the party. So he kind of sat with me and made me feel better. And he offered to walk me back down to the dock because you have to take a boat to go everywhere in Lake Atitlan. So I walked with Brian and we really connected. He, he's a really awesome guy. He's a great dancer and we had so much fun and we just had this instant connection and I knew he was gonna be a long time friend right off the bat. And he was kind of my hero that night because I felt like I was in this strange country, this country very far away from home by myself. Didn't really know the language, didn't know anyone. It was my first time doing something like that and I felt like Brian came in an angel to rescue me from this weird party that I of course ended up at because I'm quite adventurous. But I've been lucky. I feel like I always have guardian angels around me and I think Brian was one of them. <laugh>

Lily: And he definitely has to listen to this one.

Bella: Yeah, we'll force him to <laugh>. But yeah. And then he brought me over to your guys' “casa”, which was you guys were staying with this awesome Guatemala family. And I think I was having a rough day because I was sick for half the time that I was there. My computer broke the first day that I was there and you were so kind and so friendly and you offered to take my computer to the computer shop cuz it was closed that day and I just felt like I could instantly trust you. So I left you my computer and then we had an amazing lunch with the family you were staying at. That was one of my favorite days in Guatemala because it was so authentic. It was so real. We got to connect with the locals, the indigenous people speak their language, eat their food, and it was really special.

Bella: Oh right, you guys! So you’re so funny. I had showed Brian some clips of some TV show that I did called Jane the Virgin. And that was just like a funny show.

Bella: Yeah. So I did that. I, I've been acting on and off my whole life and did some film and did some television in here in LA theater my whole life. Commercials a bunch of stuff. But yeah, I never think of myself as famous or anything like that. But your reaction…
