How to keep a good relationship with parents

Last weekend,something unhappy happened between my parents and me. I wanted to see a movie with my classmates on Saturday afternoon however, my parents didn't think so, I didn't do well in the math exam, so they thought I should stay at home and work hard.In my opinion, my parents are really good tome but they can't understand me at all. They always put my school record at the first place. In order to keep a good relationship with parents, I have two suggestions here. First, we should communicate with parents, that means we can chat with them and tell them what we think, Second,we should respect and trust our parents. As long as you respect them,they will understand you better.
