The Canadian government will ban TikTok on government devices due to security fears from Tuesday. 

After a review of the Chinese-owned video app, Canada's chief information officer found the app “presents an unacceptable level of risk to privacy and security". Canada's ban follows similar moves in the United States and Europe. 

On Monday, the White House gave federal agencies 30 days to remove TikTok from federal devices.
