Chief Officer:      Captain wishes that all crewmembers wouldwatch safety movies after dinner. Please select some of those before meeting.

大副：            船长希望所有船员在晚饭后观看安全片子。请事先选好看什么。

Second Officer:     Yes, of course. What system of movies willyou prefer?

二副：            好的，你希望看什么系列的片子。

Chief Officer:      I prefer VIEDOTEL system. It is great.

大副：            我喜欢唯视导的片子，非常好。

Second Officer:     Then, what content will you choose?

二副：            那么，你选什么内容？

Chief Officer:      Fire-fighting, pollution prevention, ship’ssecurity.

大副：            消防、防污、船舶保安。

Second Officer:     I will prepare. No problem.

二副：            我去准备，没有问题。

Dialog B:          Training for Deck Hands

对话2：           训练甲板部人员

Chief Officer:      May I have you attention. Gentlemen? Weare now discussing the collision avoidance. I’d like to use power points toshow the importance of collision avoidance; therefore we must review relativeinformation beforehand.

大副：            能静一下吗，先生们？我们正讨论避碰问题。我想用幻灯片来展示避碰的重要性，所有的驾驶台工作人员要很好安排，因此我们需要事先回顾一下有关信息。

A.B:              Do you really mean all of us muststudy the Bridge Resource Management, sir?

Chief Officer:       Well, Second Officer and Third Officerhave studied that. All deck officers, including me certainly, will instruct allof sailors, I suppose. Anyway, have you read the new standing orders, Second andThird Officer?

Second Officer:     Yes, I have. But I haven’t signed it yet.

Dialog C:          Training for Security Reasons

对话3：           训练保安方面

Chief Officer:      Now, we are sailing at the Malaccastrait. The place is well known for piracy. Now, we shall study the safetymeasures.

大副：            现在，我们正航行在马六甲海峡，这是以抢劫闻名的地方，现在我们应该学习安全措施。

All crew:          Yes, of course.

所有船员：        当然。

Chief Officer:      The main contents of prevention are asfollows. All deck areas will be well lighting. We will sail at full speed. Wewill arrange three pairs for night tours.

大副：            主要预防内容如下：所有甲板区域要有很好的灯光照明，我们全速前进，安排三个班进行夜间巡逻。

Second Officer:     Do you mean all crewmembers are arrangedfor that?

二副：            您的意思是所有的船员都参加吗？

Chief Officer:      Not really. Just say that ratings arewell trained and arranged. Portable VHF, axe, torch will be useful in thesecurity tour. Bridge team will take command of the touring.

大副：            不一定，只是说要求所有的普通船员。保安巡逻时要带对讲机、斧子、手电。驾驶台指挥巡逻。

Third Officer:      Well, if pirates are found to attack,what should we react?

三副：            那么，我们发现海盗开始攻击，我们如何做？

Chief Officer:      All crewmembers shall keep constantvigilance. Pirates may attack in very fast speed.

大副：            所有人员都要保持警觉，可能海盗的攻击速度异常惊人的。
