1.acquaintance n. 认识的人                                                                                           

Do you know Neo well? Is he a close friend or just an acquaintance? 

你跟Neo熟吗？是很好的朋友还是只是认识而已？

2.small talk 闲聊                                                                                                            

I’m good at making small talk. As a result, I always get lots of new friends after party. 

我很擅长和别人闲聊。因此，我总是可以在派对上交到很多新朋友。

3.stranger n. 格格不入者                                                                                                   

I don’t know anyone at the party. I feel like a stranger. 

那场派对我谁都不认识，我觉得格格不入！

4.buzzkill n. 扫兴，泼冷水的人或事     

Kim is a total buzzkill. She always ruins the plot of Game of Thrones before I watch it! I can’t stand it.

5.mutual friend 共同朋友                                                                                                 

We met through a mutual friend, someone we both know from work. 

我们是透过一个工作上的共同好友认识的。
