字面意思：把垃圾拿出去扔掉

美式：garbage [ˈɡɑːrbɪdʒ] 和 trash [træʃ]

英式：rubbish [ˈrʌbɪʃ]

【解释】

我们平时说的“扔垃圾”一般指的是把家里的垃圾拿出去倒到指定的地点，所以用take out最准确；而很多人想到的throw是强调“扔出去”的那个动作。

【例句】

I think housework should be shared. He cleans the rooms and I take out the trash.

我觉得家务应该大家一起做。他打扫房间，我扔垃圾。

I do almost all the household chores: doing laundry, sweeping and mopping the floor, doing dishes, taking out the garbage, you name it.
