1.SHENZHOU-15 MANNED SPACESHIP WILL LAUNCH TOMORROW

神舟十五号载人飞船将于11月29日发射

The China Manned Space Agency said today that the Shenzhou-15 crewed spaceship will launch at 11:08 p.m. tomorrow from the Jiuquan Satellite【卫星】Launch Center in northwestern China. It will take astronauts Fei Junlong, Deng Qingming, and Zhang Lu to the country’s space station. Now Wang Yin tells us more.

中国载人航天工程办公室11月28日宣布，神舟十五号载人飞船瞄准11月29日晚上11点08分从中国西北地区的酒泉卫星发射中心发射升空，将费俊龙、邓清明和张陆三名宇航员送往中国空间站。现在由主持人王吟为我们带来更多详细新闻。

Fei Junlong is mission commander. Born in 1965, he first went to space in 2005 as commander of the Shenzhou-6 mission.

航天员费俊龙担任乘组指令长。他生于1965年，于2005年搭乘神舟六号首次进入太空并担任指令长。

I’m very proud to be on another mission and thrilled to be stationed aboard our space station. The average age of our crew is the highest among those sent to space, but I think we’re still energetic enough. We will complete this mission successfully.

今天我能够再次为祖国出征太空，我感到非常自豪、无比激动，特别是我们即将进驻我们中国人自己的空间站。目前我们乘组是执行任务乘组当中平均年龄最大的，不过在我看来，年龄虽然最大，但是我们的飞行本领依然保持在青春状态。我们一定能够行稳致远，圆满完成好这次神舟十五号载人飞行任务。

Deng Qingming was born in 1966 and was a member of the country’s first generation of astronauts in 1998. Shenzhou-15 will be his first space mission.

邓清明出生于1966年，1998年成为我国选拔培养的首批航天员。神舟十五号将是他的第一次太空任务。

25 years is a long time. I was upset when I wasn’t selected for previous missions, but I have never given up or hesitated. As an astronaut, I have kept training. I would never allow myself to be unprepared for a mission.  

二十五年是一个十分漫长的过程，一次次与任务擦肩而过，有过失落，也有过泪水。但我从来没有彷徨过，更没有放弃过。作为航天员，坚守飞天初心、永不停歇训练是我的常态、更是我的姿态。对我来说，我可以用一生去默默准备，但绝不允许当任务来临的时候我却没有准备好。

Zhang Lu was born in 1976 and will also be going to space for the first time. He became an astronaut in 2010.

生于1976年的张陆在2010年成为了一名航天员。这也将是他的首次太空任务。

I’ve dreamed of going to space for the past 12 years. I want to go, not just to fulfill a personal dream, but also for our nation. The prosperity of our nation allows us to achieve our goal.

The crew will stay in orbit for about six months. The Shenzhou-15 mission will complete the last assembly stage of the space station. They will also do more than 40 experiments and tests. The Shenzhou-14 crew are prepared to welcome the Shenzhou-15 crew aboard the space station.

乘组将在轨工作生活6个月，神舟十五号是空间站建造阶段最后一次飞行任务。他们还将完成40余项空间科学实验和技术试验。神舟十四号乘组准备迎接神舟十五号乘组登上空间站。

The Shenzhou-14 crew still has much to do before returning to the Earth. They need to prepare for 6 people on the station and help the new crew settle in. They also need to complete in-orbit handover, including cargo【货物】and experiments.  

按照计划，神舟十四号乘组返回前还有不少工作要做，他们要把空间站设置为六人在轨模式，为新乘组入驻做好准备。乘组轮换期间，主要完成空间站组合体与物资状态以及实验项目的工作交接。

The spokesperson said, after entering its planned orbit, the Shenzhou-15 spaceship will make a fast, automated rendezvous【交会】and dock with the front port of the space station’s core module, Tianhe. The space station will then be at its largest configuration【配置】with three modules and three spaceships. It will weigh nearly 100 tons.

季启明表示，神舟十五号载人飞船入轨后，将采用自主快速交会对接模式，对接于中国空间站天和核心舱前向端口，形成三舱三船组合体，这是中国空间站目前最大的构型，总质量近百吨。

The two crews will be on the space station together for about 5 days. It’s a meaningful period. It will verify our original design for the space station to hold two crews in orbit for a short period,and allow them to accomplish an in-orbit handover.

两个乘组大概有5天的时间，会共同在这个空间站组合体进行生活，但是这5天它的意义重大。首先它是验证了我们空间站在设计之初，就具备短期支持两个乘组同时在轨的这样一个能力。另外更重要的是，两个乘组可以完成在轨交接。

In 2020, 18 candidates were selected as the third group of Chinese astronauts for future space station missions. Recruiting for the fourth generation has begun and the search is open to people in Hong Kong and Macao for the first time.

2020年，18名预备航天员被选拔为未来空间站任务的第三批中国航天员。第四批选拔工作已经开始，并首次向港澳地区开放报名（载荷专家）。

2."MY FAVORITE SHANGHAI" VIDEO WINNERS HONORED

“我的上海我的家”短视频展播活动收官

The third season of "My Favorite Shanghai" held a short video showcase and awards ceremony at the Changfeng Branch of the Shanghai Children’s Library in Putuo over the weekend. This season’s theme was "My Shanghai, My Home". The short videos were mainly shot by children. Lei Shuran has the story.

周末（11/26），第三季“My Favorite Shanghai爱上海的理由”短视频展播和颁奖活动在普陀区上海少年儿童图书馆（长风馆）举行。这一季的主题是“我的上海，我的家”，这些短视频主要由少年儿童拍摄。记者雷舒然带来更多详细报道。

Many video entries from this year’s selection demonstrated youngster’s observations and reflections on life in 2022. These videos recorded the new countryside, the coffee culture, art exhibitions, sports facilities, and even the futuristic Shanghai of tomorrow.

今年的参赛作品中，大多展示了青少年对2022年家乡生活的观察和思考。这些视频展现了新农村、“咖啡”市、艺术展、运动场，拼出了一个日新月异、丰富立体，甚至是科幻的上海。

This year’s ICS English language short video competition received more than 1,000entriesfrom over 100 local schools. More than 400 works were selected and exhibited on Shanghai Media Group’s Knews video news app during the National Day holiday. Viewers cast one million votes in seven days. Based on an expert jury and votes from the public, 53 students won awards.

今年的上海广播电视台融媒体中心上海外语频道（ICS）英语短视频比赛收到了100多所上海学校的1000多条作品。400多条作品被筛选出来，并在国庆节期间在上海东方传媒集团的看看新闻上展出，观众在七天内投出了一百万张选票。在专家评委和公众投票的基础上，53名学生获奖。

900 children from our school participated in this activity this year and 15 of their projects have been posted online. I think this competition is very meaningful. It cultivates children’s observation and perception【感知】of their lives. It is also an international event, and the judges are foreigners, so their comments on the videos open up a different way of thinking for our students and teachers.

今年，我们学校有900名孩子参加了这项活动，其中15个作品是获得了平台的展播。我认为这个活动是非常有意义的，培养了小朋友对自己生活的观察力、感受力。这也是一项国际活动，有很多国际评委，他们的评价方式或许不仅给我们小朋友，也是给我们老师打开了一个不一样的角度，不一样的思维。

The competition is a great platform for children to become more familiar with their life and the city where they were raised, and to export local culture in a very modern short video format that is age-appropriate.

A unique work from Chen Zheyu, a blind contestant【参赛者】touched many people. The 16-year-old boy’s video not only epitomizes【作为......的缩影】the warmth of Shanghai but also his love of music, and his English language skills are truly inspirational.

盲童陈哲宇同学的特别来稿打动了评委观众，这个16岁男孩用流利的英文和大家分享了他对音乐的追求，作品中洋溢着城市的温情，成为本次活动中最动人的色彩。

3.U.S. MEDIA: MANY NATO MEMBERS HAVE RUN OUT OF WEAPONS FOR UKRAINE

乌克兰弹药消耗惊人北约多国库存告急

The U.S. media reported that arms transfers to Ukraine have left weapon stockpiles【库存】strained in some NATO countries, making it increasingly difficult for them to honor the pledges【承诺】 they made to supply Kyiv.

据美国媒体报道，向乌克兰输送武器弹药使部分北约国家自身库存开始吃紧，同时越来越难以履行向基辅提供武器的承诺。

According to one NATO official, smaller countries have exhausted their supplies, and only larger allies, including France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands, have enough stockpiles to continue or potentially increase their weapon shipments to Ukraine. An international meeting on food security under the "Grain from Ukraine" program was held in Kyiv on Saturday. In his opening speech, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the country plans to send at least 60 vessels from its ports by the end of next spring.
