During the COVID-19 pandemic, there are signs the HIV epidemic may be accelerating.

This would be devastating for communities and countries.

This is largely due to a breakdown in essential HIV services, especially HIV prevention and testing services and fewer newly diagnosed people starting HIV treatment.

If we do not pick up the pace for preventing new infections and finding and treating those with HIV, we will miss our 2030 goals.

That's why WHO is calling on global leaders and citizens to rally for global solidarity to maintain essential HIV services during COVID-19 and beyond.
