怎样快速区分another和other？


1. Another
可以拆成an+other
An在英语中是一个不定冠词，不表示特指
所以，another可泛指再一个，另一个
比如
I want another apple.= I want one more apple.
再给我一个苹果。

another加多个物品，意思是再来多少个。
I want another ten chairs.=I want ten more chairs.
再来十把椅子。

2. Other
另一个，表示特指
He raised one arm and then the other.
他先举起一只手，然后举起另一只。


I can't see you now─ some other time , maybe.
我现在不能见你——也许别的时候吧。
