The advantages and disadvantages of being a flight attendant

Welcome to 6 Minute CabinEnglish. I am Jerry. People may have different reasons when they determine tochoose the job as a flight attendant. It could be the love for the sky, the interestof traveling freely and, of-course, the attraction of the salary. However, justas every coin has two sides. There are also some problems after truly becomeone of the members. So we are going to discuss the advantages and disadvantagesof being a flight attendant in this programme. It's a very common topic. 

In my opinion, the advantagesof being a flight attendant are easy to point out. One of the most common advantage would be to travel frequently. If you join in a large airline with numbers of routes, you couldhave chances to travel both in domestic and overseas. Secondly, you willgradually develop lots of excellent personal qualities such as politeness,diligence and patience. All of these are required to be a good flight attendant.Besides so many good points, there are still some disadvantages about this job.After the plane takes off, you are a ‘lost person’ which means nobody can get in touch with you. It is impossible foryou to deal with the problems on the ground in time. So you need to try yourbest to arrange your life before you get on-board.

In my opinion, the advantages of being aflight attendant are easy to point out.

在我看来，成为一名空乘的好处很容易举出。In my opinion,用来表达观点，意思是依我看。Point out 指出某事 你可以用简单的 say 来代替。

One of the most common  advantages would be to travel frequently.

最直接的一个优点就是可以经常去旅游。

如果你不喜欢这个非谓语的用法 可以换一种简单的表达 Firstly, you can travel frequently.

If you join in a large airline with numbersof routes, you could have chances to travel both in domestic and overseas.

如果你能进入一家航线多的航空公司，你就会有很多在国内国外旅游的机会。

Join in 参加 加入 route 航线 have chance to 有….的机会 domestic 国内的 oversea 在国外

Secondly, you will gradually develop lotsof excellent personal qualities such as politeness, diligence and patience.

第二点，你会逐渐养成很有优秀的个人品质，例如礼貌待人、勤奋刻苦、处事耐心。

说到第二个论点可以用Secondly personal quality 个人素质、品质后面用到的都是名词词性的politeness礼貌, diligence勤奋 and patience耐心 也许你比较熟悉他们的形容词词性 politediligent patient 如果这句话去掉一些形容词和副词 就会变的简单一些

Secondly， you willbecome a polite、 diligent and patient person (aftertaking this job).

All of these are required to be a goodflight attendant.

这些都是当好一个乘务员必备的素质。

Besides so many good points, there are stillsome disadvantages about this job.

除去这些优点，这份职业中也会有一些劣势。

Besides 表示 除此之外 你也可以用 also或者still 来引出此外的内容

After the plane takes off, you are a ‘lost person’ which means nobody can get intouch with you.

飞机起飞之后，你就会变成一个“失联的人”，没人能够联系上你。

Get in touch with 与….取得联系你也可以用contact 来表示联系

It is impossible for you to deal with theproblems on the ground in time.

你没有办法及时处理地面的事情（家里的事情）。

In time 及时的

So you need to try your best to arrange yourlife before you get on- board.

所以，在上飞机之前，你要尽量安排好你的生活。
