佐罗 Zorro Chapter 07

[00:00:01.2]Chapter Seven The Avengers

[00:00:06.1]In the evening the magistrate and his friends in the tavern. 

[00:00:10.5]They are laughing about the old friar.

[00:00:18.2]"Why are you laughing?" asks a mysterious voice. 

[00:00:22.6]They look at the door of the tavern and see Zorro. He has a pistol in one hand and s sword in the other.

[00:00:31.3]"Magistrate! I am here to punish you," says Zorro. "Old friar Felipe is not a thief and you know it."

[00:00:39.8]"I am an important magistrate. I don't like friars because they are your friends, Zorro."

[00:00:48.0]Zorro gives a whip to the magistrate's friend and says, "Now whip this corrupt magistrate 15 times."

[00:00:56.4]"But I cannot do this," says the friend.

[00:00:59.3]"Whip him or I whip you!" says Zorro.

[00:01:02.7]The friend whips the magistrate. 

[00:01:05.5]After the punishment the magistrate falls to the ground.

[00:01:09.9]"This is how I punish dishonest people," says Zorro.

[00:01:14.5]The next day everyone talks about the magistrate's punishment. 

[00:01:19.1]A group of  young men want to help Captain Ramon arrest Zorro. 

[00:01:24.9]They look for him in the hills and in the valleys. 

[00:01:28.9]In the evening they go to the Vega hacienda. 

[00:01:33.0]When Don Alejandro sees them, he says, "Why are you all here?"

[00:01:38.2]"We are looking for Zorro. We want to capture the bandit and get the reward. 

[00:01:42.8]But now we are tired and hungry. Can you give us some food?"

[00:01:46.3]"Yes, of course. Please come in. You can put your swords and pistols near the door," says Don Alejandro. "Sit down! 

[00:01:54.6]Eat these cakes and drink this wine."

[00:01:57.6]Don Alejandro and Don Diego talk to the young men.

[00:02:02.6]At 9 p.m. Don Diego says, "Please excuse me. 

[00:02:07.0]I am tired and I am going to bed."

[00:02:10.2]"Look, Diego, 

[00:02:11.6]these young men are not tired. 

[00:02:13.4]It's only 9 p.m. 

[00:02:15.6]You are young but you are always tired," 

[00:02:18.6]says Don Alejandro.

[00:02:20.7]"Yes, father, you are right. 

[00:02:23.5]Good night everyone!"

[00:02:25.6]The others eat, drink and sing.

[00:02:29.5]At midnight a masked man appears at the door.

[00:02:34.1]"Look, 

[00:02:34.9]it is Zorro!' 

[00:02:36.4]says one of the young men.

[00:02:38.6]"Zorro, the bandit," they all say.

[00:02:42.8]"Yes, I am Zorro, 

[00:02:44.8]but I am not a bandit. 

[00:02:46.7]I have principles and I fight for them. 

[00:02:49.9]In California we have corrupt political men, cruel magistrates and dishonest people. 

[00:02:56.1]I want to change this. 

[00:02:58.1]I fight to help the poor, the natives and the friars. 

[00:03:02.4]What are your principles?"

[00:03:04.6]"We want to help the poor, the natives and the friars too," 

[00:03:08.0]says one young man.

[00:03:10.4]"Our principles are the same," says another.

[00:03:14.0]"Come with me and we can fight together! We can make California a better place to live," says Zorro.

[00:03:21.0]"But who are you? Where do you live? asks a young man.

[00:03:25.9]"I can't tell you. It's a secret," says Zorro.

[00:03:29.8]The young men talk together.

[00:03:32.8]"Yes, we want to fight with you. We want justice in California. Our new name is The Avengers!" says a young man.

[00:03:40.4]"Yes, we are The Avengers," they all say.

[00:03:44.6]"Good! We now fight together!" says Zorro and leaves.
