A measles outbreak has killed 80 children in Zimbabwe since April, the ministry of health said in a statement on Sunday. "The ministry of health and child care wishes to inform the public that the ongoing outbreak of measles, which was first reported on April 10, has since spread nationwide following church gatherings," Health Secretary Jasper Chimedza said in a statement. Chimedza said that as of Thursday, 1,036 suspected cases and 125 confirmed cases had been reported since the outbreak.

China, Thailand kicks off joint air force training exercise

A joint training exercise between the Chinese and Thai air forces kicked off on Sunday at Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base in Thailand. The joint training exercise is code-named "Falcon Strike 2022." The Chinese side dispatches fighter jets, fighter-bombers and airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft, while the Thai side sends its fighter jets and AEW aircraft for the training exercise, which includes air support, strikes on ground targets, and small- and large-scale troop deployment.

China's postal industry sees stable growth in first 7 months

China's postal industry reported stable growth in business revenue in the first seven months of this year, data from the State Post Bureau showed. During the period, revenue in the postal sector totaled 767.73 billion yuan, up 7.4 percent year-on-year. In July alone, the sector raked in 113.42 billion yuan in business revenue, marking a year-on-year growth of 13.3 percent. 
国家邮政局日前发布7月快递行业运行情况。2022年1-7月，邮政行业业务收入累计完成7677.3亿元，同比增长7.4%。仅7月份，就实现了全行业业务收入1134.2亿元，同比增长13.3%。

China's express delivery service companies handled 60.86 billion parcels in the first seven months, surging 4.3 percent from a year earlier. Their business revenue amounted to 588.04 billion yuan during the period, up 3.7 percent year-on-year. The express service industry accelerated its expansion in July, with its business revenue increasing 8.6 percent from a year ago, to 89.82 billion yuan.

Tickets for Japan's Ghibli Park now on sale

Ghibli Park, opening Nov 1 in Japan, will be a fever dream of a theme park for anyone who has ever watched the studio's beautiful and often surreal animated films and wanted to step into the worlds they built. Ghibli Park is located in Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park, less than two hours from Kyoto by train. The theme park will be about 17.5 acres when completed. (One acre is roughly the size of a football field.)
