The first full-colour picture from the new James Webb Space Telescope has been released - and it doesn't disappoint.

The image is said to be the deepest, most detailed infrared view of the Universe to date, containing the light from galaxies that has taken many billions of years to reach us.

The $10bn James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), launched on 25th December last year, is billed as the successor to the famous Hubble Space Telescope.

You probably have seen the black-and-white picture of the cosmo, but you probably have never seen it in full colour. NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has released the first full-colour picture and it doesn't disappoint.

It’s really amazing how you can see all the lights from the cosmo. The image is said to be the deepest, most detailed infrared view of the Universe to date. 

It contains the light from galaxies that has taken many billions of years to reach us. You get to see the lights from light-years away. Isn’t that amazing? You feel really humbled, we human beings are so small in our tiny cocoon.

By the way, I should mention, the $10bn James Webb Space Telescope launched on 25th December last year. And it’s billed as the successor to the famous Hubble Space Telescope.
