Russian lays strawberry asphalt road
俄罗斯铺设草莓味柏油马路

Laid on June 30th, in Leningrad’s Vsevolozhsk district, a 700-meter-long strawberry-scented asphalt road is part of Russia’s Safe High-Quality Roads national project. About 300 tons of strawberry-scented asphalt mix were produced for this experiment. 

日前，在列宁格勒弗谢沃洛日斯克区铺就了一条700米长的草莓味柏油路，这是俄罗斯安全优质道路国家工程的一部分。承包商为这次试验生产了约300吨草莓味柏油混合材料。

It’s unclear how successful the experiment actually was, or how long the scent of strawberries lasted, but the contractor did mention that the strawberry scent does not affect the quality of the asphalt.
目前还不清楚这次试验有多成功，也不知道草莓味能持续多久，但是承包商明确提到草莓味不会影响柏油质量。

Elon Musk decides to terminate Twitter deal

马斯克终止对推特的收购

Tesla CEO Elon Musk decided on Friday to terminate his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter, blaming the company for withholding information on its number of spam and fake accounts. Musk's lawyer claimed Twitter failed to comply with its obligations in the merger agreement and was "in material breach of multiple provisions" of the agreement signed in April. 

特斯拉公司首席执行官埃隆·马斯克当地时间8日表示，将终止对推特的440亿美元收购计划，理由是推特无法准确提供垃圾及虚假账户数据信息。马斯克的律师表示，推特公司没有“遵守其合同义务”并严重违反了4月签署的协议中的多项条款。

Twitter's Board Chair Bret Taylor said the company is committed to closing the deal on the price and terms agreed upon with Musk, and plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement. (Xinhua)

"Ice Ribbon" opens to public
冬奥场馆“冰丝带”对外开放

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics’ National Speed Skating Oval, also known as the "Ice Ribbon" , opened to the public on Saturday. Visitors can take photos with Beijing 2022 mascot Bing Dwen Dwen and tour the Champions Wall. 

7月9日，作为北京2022年冬奥会标志性场馆，国家速滑馆“冰丝带”正式面向社会开放。游客们可以和北京2022年冬奥会吉祥物冰墩墩合影，还可以参观冠军墙。

They can also enjoy a skating experience on 12,000 square meters of the "fastest ice" at sea level. Stadium also features a podium for visitors to simulate the medal award ceremony.

China requests names for solar observatory
中国第一颗综合性太阳探测卫星全球征名啦！

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) has initiated a call for suggestions to name the country's newest solar observatory, which will be launched into a sun-synchronous orbit in October. 

日前，中国科学院为我国最新的综合性太阳探测卫星发起了全球命名征集活动，该卫星将于今年10月发射升空。

The newest Chinese solar observation satellite, the Advanced Space-Based Solar Observatory (ASO-S), is to help solar physicists study the relationships between the solar magnetic field, solar flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs). Together with other such observatories, it will provide a fuller picture of solar activity and dynamics for studies on the sun. 
这个最新的太阳探测专用卫星——“先进天基太阳天文台“（ASO-S）将帮助太阳物理学家研究太阳磁场、太阳耀斑和日冕物质抛射之间的相互关系。它将与其他类似的天文台一起，为太阳研究工作提供更全面的太阳活动和动力学图片。
