习近平主席寄语香港青少年报效祖国

国家主席习近平于2017年6月30日到访香港少年警讯永久活动中心暨青少年综合训练营。当时18岁的邓宇轩和11岁的郭宏晞为习主席介绍少年警讯各项活动及营内设施。

President Xi Jinping visited the Junior Police Call Permanent Activity Centre (JPC) on June 30, 2017 during his three-day inspection tour in Hong Kong. Tang Yu-hin, who was an 18-year-old student at the time, and 11-year-old Kwok Wang-hei, two representatives from the center, briefed Xi JPC's facilities and activities. 

现在已经是中学生的郭宏晞回忆当初见面点滴，表示对习主席关注香港青少年发展尤其印象深刻。“主席和我讲， ‘少年好，国家好。少年强，国家强 ’。意味着主席对我们香港的青少年有很深切的关注。” 他说。

"President Xi told me: 'The country will get better, when the youth get better. The country will become stronger, when the youth become stronger.' That means he really cares about Hong Kong youth," Kwok, who is now a high school student at Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School, told China Daily in a recent interview. 

而今年23岁的邓宇轩，已经在香港政府部门屋宇处工作。他说当家人知道他与主席见面并交谈时，都十分开心。“回到家以后，我的父母就开着电话与亲戚朋友打视频电话。他们说现在马上想和我握手，因为我刚刚和习主席握完手。所以都是很开心，这份喜悦是共通的。”

"When I got home, my parents were making video calls to our relatives and friends. They said they wanted to shake hands with me right now, because I had just shaken hands with President Xi. So it was a common joy shared between me and my family," Tang said. He is now 23 and working at Hong Kong's Buildings Department.

2018年新春佳节前夕，少年警讯成员亲手制作新春贺卡向习主席送上新年祝福。习主席亲自回信表示感谢，并对他们作出勉励。

Some members of the JPC sent President Xi a greeting card that they made by hand themselves for the 2018 Spring Festival. The card delivered festive wishes and expectations of meeting President Xi again. President Xi extended Lunar New Year greetings and words of encouragement to members of the JPC after receiving the Spring Festival card from them.

“他在公务繁忙之余都花了很多的心思来写回信给我们。这让我们感到非常之惊喜，也非常之感恩。主席在信中说的我都记得，所以之后我都参加了不少的交流团。有去过酒泉看卫星发射基地。我们也有一个‘相聚国旗下’的交流团。通过这些交流，我们了解到许多内地正在发生的事。”邓宇轩说。

"He took time off from his busy schedule to write back to us. It was a great surprise to us. We were also very grateful. He called on us to 'read thousands of books and walk thousands of miles'. I remember all the words the president said and that's why I joined many exchange programs afterward. I went to Jiuquan (in northern China) to see the satellite launch base. I also had an exchange program named Meeting Under the Flag. I learned a lot about what is happening on the Chinese mainland through those exchange programs," Tang said. 

展望未来，两位香港青少年都表达了要服务香港，报效祖国的决心。郭宏晞说：“自从收到回信之后，我就以读书为目标。我希望可以尽量将我的学业管理好，之后可以做一些服务香港的工作，也希望将来可以报效国家。” 

Looking forward, both Tang and Kwok aspire to contributing to Hong Kong and the nation. "After I received the reply, I made the decision to study hard. I hope I can manage my class workload. In the future, I hope to serve Hong Kong and serve the country with my actions," said Kwok.

邓宇轩则说：“如果我再有机会见到主席，我会对他说我没有辜负当时您对我的期望。我现在白天在政府工作，夜晚或是空余时间做一名辅警，继续服务香港。希望在未来有更宏大的发展，可以报效祖国。”

"If I have the chance to meet the President again, I would say to him, I have lived up to the expectations you had of me at that time. I am now working in the government and helping to develop Hong Kong. I serve Hong Kong as an auxiliary police officer at night and in my spare time. I hope that I will be able to serve our country more holistically in the future," said Tang.
