Audi's newly released advertisement video on Chinese social media has been accused of copying from an internet influencer. The video advertisement, featuring Chinese Hong Kong's actor Andy Lau, has caused a huge public outcry over the brand's plagiarism.
针对奥迪“小满广告”涉嫌抄袭他人文案一事,奥迪及广告的创意代理方发布声明道歉。这则由中国香港演员刘德华主演的视频广告引发了公众对该品牌剽窃行为的强烈抗议。
Audi apologized Sunday morning over the plagiarism, adding that the brand has removed the video from the Chinese social media platforms and has demanded the relevant companies to address the infringement.
22日上午,一汽奥迪销售有限责任公司对此发布了致歉声明。奥迪各官方渠道已全面下架抄袭视频,代理方则承诺尽最大努力弥补对原作者的损失。
M&C Saatchi apologized on Sunday, saying that its Audi team "lacks copyright awareness" and promised to do its best to make up for the loss to the original author.
随后,该广告创意代理方上思广告公司(M&C SAATCHI)也发布声明称,诚恳向原作者道歉,称奥迪团队“缺乏版权意识”并承诺将尽最大努力弥补对原作者的损失。
Sunday afternoon,Lau expressed his regret and said he has 100 percent respect for originality.

In the promotional video released by Audi, Andy Lau popularized the origin of Xiaoman. At the end of the video, he also wrote a poem about Xiaoman.
在奥迪发布的宣传短片中,刘德华科普了小满的来历,在视频的结尾,他还亲笔书写了一首有关小满的诗词。
On Saturday evening, a blogger named "Beida Mange [short as Mange]," accused the brand claiming that the script for its new video is in fact "from an original poem" that he composed on the same day in 2021.
21日晚,一位名叫“北大满哥”的博主称该品牌宣传短片的脚本实际上是他在2021年创作的“原创诗歌”。
"The poem was made by myself. Please ask the original author when citing them," said Mange, a popular educational content-driven video influencer graduated from Peking University. Mange accused the brand of failing to properly communicate with him before using his poem for marketing.
毕业于北京大学的视频博主“北大满哥”在上述短片下留言称,“几乎整篇都是截取自我去年小满的视频文案,里面的诗词是我自己做的原创命名诗,麻烦问下,引用的时候能不能通知一下原作者。”
However, some netizens pointed out that some of the words mentioned in the video of Mange are not all original, and other bloggers published them as early as 2017. As a result, the plagiarism incident of Audi Xiaoman’s advertising copy has sparked a new controversy.
不过也有网友指出,“北大满哥”小满视频中提到的一些话语并非全部独创,早在2017年就有其他博主刊发过。由此,奥迪小满广告文案抄袭事件,引发新的“套娃”争议。
This plagiarism incident has also caused discussions on intellectual property protection. Taking down advertisements is not a fundamental solution to the problem. Those suspected of infringing on others’ intellectual property rights should bear corresponding legal responsibilities. Respecting originality and protecting innovation should become the consensus of society.
此次抄袭风波也引发了大家对知识产权保护的积极讨论,撤下广告不是根本性解决问题的方式,涉嫌侵犯他人的知识产权要承担相应的法律责任。尊重原创、保护创新应该成为社会的共识。
