1.speed up加速；相反，减速叫reduce the speed或slow down。例句：We must think of a way to speed up the process.我们必须想一个办法加速进程。

2.step on it加大油门；加把劲。例句：You will be late if you do not step on it.你再不加快速度就要迟到了。If you don't step on it, we shall not get to the station in time.如果你不加速的话，我们就不能及时赶到。

3.Are you nuts?你疯了吗？还可以说Are you crazy/mad?

4.have a fit大发脾气。My boss would have a fit if I made such mistake.如果我犯这样的错，我老板会大发雷霆的。

5.take a shortcut抄近路。I tried to take a shortcut and got lost.我试着走近路，结果迷路了。

6.make it表示“成功做某事；及时赶到”。You made it.可以表示“你做到了。”也可以表示“你终于到了。”具体意思需要根据语境去理解。
