Thank you so much for giving this award to me. When I saw that I had been nominated alongside Jennifer Coolidge, Nicole kidman, Jean Smart and the glorious Sarah Snook, I was so thrilled and felt so honoured.

But particularly because this year I think things are shifting in terms of how women are seen and portrayed on film, I think that now is a time when we're being more sympathetic towards our changing faces, our changing bodies and it's an exciting time to be included alongside those four gorgeous women.

I have to say I have always felt so supported by actor. I feel sometimes a bit like an honorary Australian, because you have acknowledged me before now and it always means a huge amount to be included, to be brought into your film and television community in this way means a lot.

I have such admiration for the skill of actors and filmmakers in Australia. I want to thank Brad Inglesby for creating this show, for writing this story, HBO they were amazing, really amazing.

And Francesca Orsi and Nora Skinner my two go-to women at HBO were consistently supportive of everything. We creatively brought to the table and it really meant a lot to have them to lean on.

I want to share this with Craig Zobel, our lovely, divine, kind, calm director. He really understood the people, he really understood the shape of the town. But most importantly, I feel that he represented women of all ages in this film in a very real way.
