Calmness is precious as wisdom 内心安宁就是智慧

The strong, calm man is always loved and revered. He is like a shade giving tree in a thirsty land, or a sheltering rock in a storm.

坚强、冷静的人总是会赢得人们的好感和敬意；他就像烈日下一棵浓荫遮地的大树，或是暴风雨中能够遮风挡雨的巨岩。

"Who does not love a tranquil heart, a sweet tempered, balanced life?" It does not matter whether it rains or shines, or what changes come to those possessing these blessings, for they are always sweet, serene, and calm.

“谁不爱一颗安静的心，一个温和、平实的生命呢?”无论是狂风暴雨，还是红日当空，无论是天翻地覆，还是命运逆转，一切都等闲视之，因为这样的人永远都是谦和、冷静、沉着。

That exquisite poise of character, which we call serenity is the last lesson of culture, the fruitage of the soul. It is precious as wisdom, more to be desired than gold — yea, than even fine gold.

那种我们称之为泰然自若的平静性格，是修养的最后一课，也是灵魂之花的硕果。它像智慧一样宝贵，价值胜过黄金一是的，胜过足赤真金。
