China approves e-commerce zone expansion
跨境电商综合试验区再扩容

China's State Council has approved setting up more cross-border e-commerce pilot zones in 27 cities and regions as the government seeks to stabilize foreign trade and foreign investments. The new pilot zones, including those in Erdos in Inner Mongolia and the city of Yangzhou in Jiangsu province, will replicate and advance the experience learned from the previous five batches of pilot zones according to a statement released by the State Council. 
为全力以赴稳住外贸外资基本盘，国务院日前批复同意在鄂尔多斯市、扬州市等27个城市和地区设立跨境电子商务综合试验区。国务院2月8日发布消息称，本批27个城市和地区将复制推广前五批综合试验区成熟经验做法。

Since 2015, China's State Council has established 105 cross-border e-commerce pilot zones in five batches. The new business model has become a driver of China's foreign trade growth.
2015年以来，我国已经分5批设立了105个跨境电商综试区。跨境电商这种新型商业模式已成为推动中国外贸增长的强劲动力。

China's prodigy Gu Ailing claimed a historic gold with a career-first 1620 during the women's freeski big air event of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games at Big Air Shougang on Tuesday, while Tess Ledeux of France and Mathilde Gremaud of Switzerland took silver and bronze, respectively. 
2月8日在首钢滑雪大跳台举行的北京冬奥会自由式滑雪大跳台决赛中，最后一跳中国天才少女谷爱凌选择挑战从未做出的超高难度动作“偏轴转体两周1620度”，发挥出色夺金，是该项目第一位冬奥会冠军。法国选手泰斯•勒德获得银牌，夺得铜牌的是瑞士选手玛蒂尔德•格雷莫德。

With a combined score of 188.25 points -- 93.75 from her first run and 94.5 from the third — Gu came back strong from third place before the final run to take the gold as the event made its Olympic debut. It was China's third gold medal at the Games, with the first two awarded in short-track speed skating.
谷爱凌第三跳得到94.50分，加上第一跳的93.75分，以188.25分的总成绩奇迹逆转夺冠。该项目是首次成为冬奥会比赛项目，这也是中国代表团在本届冬奥会上获得的第三枚金牌，前两枚金牌均来自短道速滑项目。

New loan policy announced for affordable housing
保障性租赁住房贷款出新政

China will not include affordable rental housing loans in the management system that sets caps on real estate loans, the country's central bank said Tuesday. Financial institutions should scale up support for affordable rental housing in accordance with the law while managing risks and pursuing sustained development, according to a statement jointly issued by the People's Bank of China and the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. 
中国人民银行、银保监会2月8日公布相关通知，明确保障性租赁住房项目有关贷款不纳入房地产贷款集中度管理，鼓励银行业金融机构按照依法合规、风险可控、商业可持续的原则，加大对保障性租赁住房发展的支持力度。

The move is expected to increase loan issuances for affordable rental housing projects and aims to further improve the country's housing support system, the PBOC said.
央行表示，此举将增加对保障性租赁住房项目的贷款发放，旨在进一步完善我国的住房保障体系。

China's nuclear reactor wins approval in Britain
'华龙一号'通过英国通用设计审查

China's Hualong One, a domestically designed third-generation nuclear reactor, has been confirmed adequate for use in Britain, designer China General Nuclear Power Corporation said on Monday. The reactor has met the standard of the Generic Design Assessment, according to a joint statement issued on Monday by the British Office for Nuclear Regulation and the Environment Agency. 
2月7日，中国广核集团发布消息称，我国自主研发的第三代核电技术“华龙一号”通过英国通用设计审查。英国核监管办公室和环境署2月7日发布联合声明，确认华龙一号通过英国通用设计审查（GDA），并于当日为华龙一号颁发设计认可确认和设计可接受性声明证书。

Before being put into use, the new technology must pass an assessment led by the ONR and EA to determine its safety and environmental impact. ONR has issued a Design Acceptance Confirmation and EA has issued a Statement of Design Acceptability to the reactor. CGN and French state-owned power giant EDF signed deals with the British government in September 2016 for three projects in Britain. The project, based in Bradwell, Essex, is expected to use the Hualong One technology.
在英国使用新核电技术建设核电站之前要进行通用设计审查，对安全性和环境影响进行评估，这两方面评估分别由英国核监管办公室和环境局负责。2016年9月，中广核与法国电力集团、英国政府签署了英国新建三个核电项目的协议。根据协议，“华龙一号”在通过英国通用设计审查后，将用于该国布拉德韦尔B核电项目建设。
