Is a disordered company necessarily a bad one?
Not long ago, I saw a passage in James Scott's perspective of the state. I read it to you, saying: "formal systems are always parasitic on informal processes to a large extent. Although formal systems do not recognize the existence of informal processes, they cannot survive without them."
This passage is very profound. If we understand a country or a company from the outside, what we see is always a formal system.
But in fact, it's just the tip of the iceberg. Under the sea, most of them are informal processes. It's all kinds of tacit understanding, consensus, conventions and customs that support the operation of this system.
So in those systems that are developing very fast, you will see a lot of irregularities.
But don't think that's a mess. There are a lot of informal institutions under the sea.
As long as these informal systems can constantly emerge from the sea and be solidified into formal systems, as long as this process continues to occur, the system can't be any worse.
