then＝afterwards＝after that 之后，后来                                                                   

e.g. We plan to have a luncheon to celebrate this event, and take a group picture afterwards. 

我们计划举行特別午餐來庆祝，之后再拍团体照留念。         

He moved to Japan when we were in sixth grade. After that, we’ve never seen each other again. 

他在六年级时搬到日本。在那之后，我们就不曾见面了。

furthermore＝also＝moreover＝in addition＝additionally＝besides 此外，而且          

e.g. Drunk driving is dangerous. Also, it is both immoral and illegal. 

酒驾是很危险的。此外，这是不道德且不合法的。                                                         

Our new director speaks three languages fluently. In addition, he also has six years of experience. 

我们新来的主管精通三种语言，此外，他还有六年的工作经验。

however＝nevertheless＝nonetheless＝even so 然而，但是，尽管如此                        

e.g. I was sick yesterday. even so, I still did all my homework. 

我昨天生病了，尽管如此，我还是完成了全部的作业。

therefore＝thus＝hence＝as a result＝consequently 因此，结果                                 

e.g. He forgot to lock the door. Therefore, everything was stolen. 

他忘记锁门了，结果，所有东西都被偷了。
