Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

[00:15.18]There are two days in every week about

[00:18.15]which we should not worry,

[00:20.05]two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

[00:23.91]One of these days is Yesterday with its mistakes and cares,

[00:28.56]its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

[00:32.27]Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.

[00:35.76]All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday.

[00:39.72]We cannot undo a single act we performed;

[00:43.66]we cannot erase a single word said. Yesterday is gone.

[00:48.63]The other day we should not worry about

[00:51.26]is Tomorrow with its possible adversities,

[00:54.76]its burdens, its large promise and poor performance.

[00:58.74]Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

[01:02.46]Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor

[01:06.14]or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise.

[01:09.79]Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow,

[01:13.56]for it is yet unborn.

[01:16.02]This leaves only one day, Today.

[01:20.72]Any man can fight the battles of just one day;

[01:23.80]it is only when you or I add the burdens of those two awful eternities

[01:29.34]Yesterday and Tomorrow, that we break down.

[01:32.15]It is not the experience of Today that drives men mad

[01:35.86]it is remorse or bitterness for something

[01:38.56]which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.

[01:42.81]Let us, therefore, live but One Day at a time.
