The fox was brown.

The fox was quick.

The dog was brown.

The dog was lazy.
狗很懒。
"You are a lazy dog," said the fox.
“你是只懒狗，”狐狸说道。
"Yes, I am a lazy dog," said the dog.
“是的，我是只懒狗，”狗回答道。
"Why are you a lazy dog?" asked the fox.
“你为什么是只懒狗？”狐狸问道。
"Why not?" asked the dog.
“为什么不呢？”狗问道。
"My owner feeds me. My owner takes me out for walks. My owner loves me. I eat. I go out for walks. I sleep. I'm a lazy, happy dog."
“我的主人喂我。我的主人带我出去散步。我的主人爱我。我吃饭。我出去散步。我睡觉。我是一只懒惰又快乐的狗。”
"But don't you have any ambition?" asked the fox.
“你难道没有任何抱负吗？”狐狸问道。
"Ambition? Ambition to do what? I'm just a dog," said the dog.
“抱负？抱负要做什么呢？我只是一只狗，”狗说道。
"Lassie was a dog. She saved people's lives," said the fox.
“莱西是只狗。她救过人的命，”狐狸说道。
"I'm too lazy to save people's lives," said the dog. "Let Lassie save people's lives."
“我懒得去救人的命，”狗说道。“让莱西去救人的命吧。”
