Most people who wear contact lenses have not cared for them properly, risking infection in one or both eyes at some point,according to a new study by the Centers for Disease Control.Researchers found that most of the 40.9 million people in the United States who wear contact lenses disregard recommendations of how to care for them, as well as how to protect their eyes.This includes basic guidelines about cleaning lenses with water and when to take them out.
