Deepening reform of eco-compensation mechanism

深化生态保护补偿制度改革

China has released a guideline on deepening the reform of the country's ecological compensation mechanism. The guideline, jointly released by the general offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council, details measures for the country to realize long-term ecological compensation goals set for 2025 and 2035. By 2025, an ecological compensation mechanism that is aligned with economic and social development should be basically built up. The classified compensation system targets ecological elements such as rivers, natural forests and wetlands, and the comprehensive compensation system that features fiscal support will be improved. 

中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅印发了《关于深化生态保护补偿制度改革的意见》。意见明确了为实现2025年和2035年生态保护补偿长期目标的一系列具体举措。到2025年，与经济社会发展状况相适应的生态保护补偿制度基本完备。健全以河流、天然林、湿地等生态环境要素为实施对象的分类补偿制度。健全综合补偿制度，坚持生态保护补偿力度与财政能力相匹配。

In the meantime, a market-oriented and diversified compensation pattern will be formed with all society more actively participating in ecological protection. By 2035, the country will form an ecological compensation mechanism that meets the requirements of ecological civilization in the new era, according to the document.

与此同时，建立市场化、多元化生态保护补偿机制，激发全社会参与生态保护的积极性。到2035年，适应新时代生态文明建设要求的生态保护补偿制度基本定型。

China's national observatory on Sunday continued its orange alert for Typhoon Chanthu, the 14th typhoon of the year, which is expected to make landfall in or pass East China's Zhejiang province during the daytime on Monday. Zhejiang province has upgraded its emergency response to the highest level and issued a red alert - also the highest level- for geological disasters. Education authorities in the cities of Ningbo, Zhoushan and Taizhou have ordered suspension of classes in kindergartens, primary and high schools, and off-campus training institutions. 

9月13日，中央气象台继续发布台风橙色预警。今年第14号台风"灿都"预计将于9月13日白天登陆或擦过浙江一带沿海。浙江已启动重大气象灾害(台风)Ⅰ级应急响应以及地质灾害红色预警。宁波、舟山、台州等地教育部门宣布当地幼儿园、中小学校以及培训机构停课。

The airport in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, will cancel all outbound flights from 11 am Monday. In Shanghai, local authorities have ordered suspension of classes in kindergartens, and primary and high schools on Monday afternoon and Tuesday as the city braces for heavy rains and strong winds. Authorities in Shanghai also have ordered the closure of parks, amusement facilities and other outdoor tourist sites on Monday and Tuesday.

New third board hits nearly ￥120B turnover

This year's cumulative turnover of China's main over-the-counter equity market has reached 118.9 billion yuan as of Friday. The National Equities Exchange and Quotations, also known as the "new third board," registered a turnover of 17.83 billion yuan in the transaction week spanning Sept 6 to 10, up 120 percent over the previous week. 

截至9月10日收盘时，今年以来新三板挂牌公司累计成交金额达1189亿元。9月6日至10日，新三板挂牌公司成交178.3亿元，较上周上涨120%。

As of Friday, there are 7,281 companies on the board. Launched in 2013, the board aims to offer small and medium-sized enterprises a new financing channel with low costs and simple listing procedures.

Singapore listed as the most fatigued country

According to research by UK bed manufacturer Sleepseeker, Singapore leads in the overall fatigue score at 7.2 out of 10, with Mexico and Brazil in second and third place at 7.01 and 6.28 points, respectively. However, Singapore reigns second in the number of hours worked per year at 2,238 hours compared to Mexico's 2,255 hours.
