今天我们来学习句子语调相关的知识---如何用自然的语调说出简单的问句呢?

要把语调搞清楚,我们首先要搞清楚句子重音.我们说一句话,要根据你自己要表达的意思,决定好谁才是最重要的词.比如这句话:

           Is it always sunny on a summer day in your hometown Beijing?

           北京的夏日都是晴天吗?

这句话中,根据情况,always, sunny, summer, your, hometown, Beijing等词,都有可能是重点词.但是,"都是重点等于没有重点","啥都强调等于啥都没强调".在不同情况下,肯定是要有那么一两个词比其它的更为重要,这些词就是我们要找的重读词.如果是不超过10个单词的比较简单的句子,基本上其中只有一个词成为重读词就可以了.比如我们学过的这句话:

           Is it sunny out there?

           '外面现在晴着吗?'

这里面,我选择了sunny这个词.

先找到了重读词,下一步还要找到重读词里的重音位置.这个就要看它的音标了.根据音标,sunny这个词的重音位置在前面的"sun",而不是后面的"ny",因此这个词才读作SUN-ny,而不是sun-NY

讲了这么多,终于要说到正题了.一个简单的问句,我们最好这么去读它:首先找到句子的重读词里面的重读音,然后以这个音为转折点,前高后低.我们再来体会一下:

           Is it sunny out there?

这句话以重读词里的重读音"sun"为转折点---前面的is it部分,音调要保持比较高一些: is it, is it...;而后面的ny out there部分,音调要压低:ny out there, ny out there...

大家还可以想象一个跳水运动员,句子前段为高高在上的跳板,句子后段为沉下去的水池,重读词里的重读音就是从跳板末端往下跳的过程.请跟读体会:

           Is it sunny out there? [跟读停顿]

           Is it sunny out there? [跟读停顿]

对了,如果重读词里的重读音发生在这个句子的开头,道理是一样的.

           What are you doing?

如果我们把what重读,那么就意味着,没有长长的跳板,直接往下跳就好了.

           What are you doing? [跟读停顿]

           What are you doing? [跟读停顿]

同理,如果重读词里的重读音发生在这个句子的末尾,道理也是一样的.

           Are your classes going well?

如果我们把well重读,那么就意味着,整句话都是高高的跳板,直到最后的well跳下去就好了.
