A: You should expect huge crowd of tourists in the Forbidden City at this time of the day. My recommendation is that you either arrive very early in the morning or visit in the afternoon. If you want to get a bird’s eye view of the Forbidden City, make sure you go to the Jingshan Park.

A: Houhai is another nice place you don’t want miss out on. In summer, the lotus flowers come into bloom. You can take a boat out on the lake. In winter, the lake freezes and becomes a natural ice rink where people can skate and sled.
