What does it mean to be present, and how could this have any meaningful effect on your life? I asked.

我问，给他人专注的陪伴，是什么意思？这怎么会对你的人生有影响呢？

His answer surprised me, as he said this was the one thing that made his father his hero, and also the one thing that he believed made his life so rich. 

他的回答让我惊讶，因为他说，正是这一点，让他的父亲在他的心中成为一个英雄。也正是这一点，使他确信自己的人生是如此富足。

He said: I couldn't articulate it when I was younger, but my dad always had a special energy about him. 

他说，在年轻的时候，我无法描述这种感受，但是我父亲总有一种特别的能量。
