Many people might have thought that Canadians live in igloos or that Canadians love maple syrup. The truth is, Canadians live in houses and condos like the rest of the world， and they probably only put maple syrup on their pancakes. However, Canadians are known to be very polite　－ they overuse the word “sorry”. There is a joke that someone stepped on a Canadian’s toe. To everyone’s surprise, the Canadian guy immediately said, “Sorry.”

很多人都可能觉得加拿大人住在冰屋里，或是他们很爱吃枫叶糖浆。真相是加拿大人也和世界上其他人一样，住在别墅或是公寓里，而且他们大概只有在吃薄煎饼的时候才会用枫叶糖浆。不过，加拿大人的有礼貌是很出名的，他们过分使用“对不起”这个词。有一个笑话就是，一个人踩到了另一位加拿大人的脚趾上，没想到，哪个加拿大人马上说了一句“对不起”。
