Selling Cookies, Receiving Love 第2680期 This past summer, I participated in(参加) a charity sale organized by the SSP. The aim(目的) was to help autistic(患自闭症的) children. In the beginning, we had few customers. But after learning about the sale’s aim, more and more people came along. I noticed that the seller in the stall(货摊) next to mine was an autistic boy. He was selling handmade cookies. At first, he was very nervous(紧张不安的). Many people passed by, but none of them stopped at his stall. The boy felt sad. His mother came and encouraged him to stay positive. She also taught him how to attract customers. With her help, the boy became more confident(自信的). Soon, his cookies were sold out. I was deeply impressed by his success. Some people are unlucky. They were born with some kind of disability(缺陷). We should always be willing to lend them a helping hand. 沈心婷 上海外国语大学附属外国语学校东校
