上周四的时候，我忘记了去上课。在这节课老师会告诉我们测评的内容，所以说对于能否顺利通过这门课至关重要。但我忘记了，是因为之前一周是我们的期中短假，不需要上课，而且我们的课程是网课，就没有人提醒我。当我意识到需要上课的时候，课程还剩5分钟了。我后来只好向同学借笔记来补课。

Well, to be honest, I don’t really want torecount (重述) this silly story of me because my friends have been laughing at me about this ever since it happened. Anyway, just to put it simply (简单来说), I forgot to go to class last Thursday.

The class was probably one of the most crucial sessions of the whole semester because our teacher was going togo through (过一遍) the assessment criteria (测评标准) in detail, which would be vital to whether I could pass this subject or not.

I totallyforgot about it (忘记) because the week before was our mid-term break, which was a non-teaching period, so I kind of thought it was already vacation. Also, the session was held online, so nobody would remind me to go to class. So, last Thursday, when I was chatting leisurely with my friends online in the afternoon, it suddenly occurred to me that I was supposed to be in class and there were only 5 mins left. Ipanicked (惊慌失措)and asked my friends what I should do. They told me better late than never (迟到总比不到好) so I logged into my account and joined the online meeting.

However,it turned out that (结果) the teacher had already finished talking about our assessment and started to take questions from students. I asked her if there would be a recording of this session, but unfortunately, she said no, so after class, I had no choice but to ask my classmates for their notes. It goes without saying that I wish this type of accident will never happen again!
