The Fantastic Pumpkin

Grandma gave Dan a seed.
奶奶给了丹一粒种子。

"What will grow from this seed?" said Dan.

“这粒种子会结出什么来呢?”丹问。

"Plant it in my garden," said Grandma,"and we will see!”

“把它种在我的花园里吧，这样我们就能看到它将结出什么来了!”奶奶说。

Dan planted the seed in Grandma's garden.

He watered the seed every day.

他每天给种子浇水。

Dan looked in the garden every day.

"When will it grow?" he said.

The sun shone and the rain fell.

Then one day, Dan saw a little plant.

“Look!" he said. "It's a pumpkin!"

The next day, the pumpkin was a little bigger.

and the pumpkin grew and grew.

"It's as big as my football," said Dan.

The pumpkin grew bigger.

"It's as big as my bicycle," said Dan.

It grew bigger.

"It's as big as you," said Grandma.

Some people came to see it.

一些人来看这个南瓜。

It's as big as our car!" they said.

“It's as big as my van!”said a man.

Some people from television came to see it.

"What a fantastic pumpkin!" they said.

More and more people came to see it.

"It's as big as a house!"they said.

Then one day the pumpkin stopped growing - just like that!

"What can they do with it?"asked the people.

"It's a fantastic playhouse!"said Dan.
