Freed the Slaves 

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States. Lincoln is most famous for leading the country during the American Civil War. He also pushed for the freedom of all slaves throughout the nation.

亚伯拉罕·林肯是美国的第16任总统。他最著名的是在美国内战期间领导国家。并且推动全国所有奴隶的自由。

In the 1800s, Americans had slaves. American slaves had no rights. They had to work all day and could not earn any money. They were bought and sold like animals. But Abraham Lincoln thought all men, including slaves, were created equal.

在1800年代，美国人用有奴隶。而他们并没有权利。他们不得不整天工作，没有报酬。他们像动物一样被买卖。但是亚伯拉罕·林肯认为，包括奴隶在内的所有人都是平等的。

However, Lincoln’s views were not popular with everyone. The United States fought a great war because of this conflict. During the war, Lincoln gave speeches and announced that the slaves would be free. As a result, a new law was passed after the war. It gave freedom to every American. Because of his education, America is a free country today.
