1. take it out on sb 

take it out on sb 拿某人出气

it 指代，mood，心情。

老板冲下属发脾气，因为事情没有按他的意愿进行：

The boss took it out on us because things didn't go the way he thought.

I apologize. I shouldn't take it out on you.
