手指游戏：用一只手的食指接触另一只手的拇指，然后转动手指让这只手的拇指接触另一只手的食指。做这样的“蜘蛛爬”动作，唱到“up the water spout”时举起手臂。唱到“down came the rain”时将双臂像流水奔涌一样放下，唱到“washed the spider out”做出甩开手的动作。唱到“out came the sun”时用手臂模仿太阳照耀的样子。唱最后一句时重新做“蜘蛛爬”的动作。

2岁2个月的小柠檬刚开始哼唱这首歌时，很努力地自己用手指做出蜘蛛向上爬的动作，边做边唱，细看她动作其实是自创版的，沉浸其中的乐趣也满满当当。
