1. shrink 心理医生 

说到Monica的新男友，大家说And for a shrink, he's not too shrinky, y'know?心理医生在这里用了shrink, 这个词本意是萎缩，缩水，比如说My sweater shrunk after I washed it. 在美国口语里shrink 是心理医生。

2. funny 滑稽的，幽默的 

心理医生说Chandler You are so funny. Funny在口语里等于humorous 并不是说可笑而是幽默，在这里可是个褒义词。

3. don't know sb from Adam 根本不认识 

I don’t know you from Adam = I don’t know you at all. 我根本就不认识你

not know someone from Adam 毫不相识

4. tit for tat 以牙还牙, 以眼还眼，针锋相对 

5. sibling 兄弟姐妹 

在分析Ross性格形成时，心理医生说I mean, it's conceivable that you wanted to sabotage your marriage so that the sibling would feel less of a failure in the eyes of the parents

sibling这个词，兄弟姐妹的统称, 兄弟姐妹间的不和叫做sibling rivary

6. suck up to sb 巴结某人 

Monica说Ross suck up to mom and dad. 

Suck up to 巴结某人

7. keep an eye on 盯着 

Joey担心父亲和情妇离开说 I want you right here where I can keep an eye on you.

keep an eye on sth/sb 看着什么 Could you keep an eye on my bag? 能帮我照看一下我的包么？

8. come clean with sb 向某人坦白 

Joey希望父亲跟母亲坦白Then you gotta come clean with Ma!

come clean with sb 向某人坦白 相当于 confess to somebody. come clean 美国俚语，和盘托出。

9. cheat on sb 对某人不忠，出轨 

Joey对父亲出轨很生气说He's gonna keep cheating on my ma like she wanted

cheat on sb 出轨，对..不忠,出轨。出轨的人叫cheater. 当然cheat还有考试作弊的意思
