Employees in France gained the legal right to ignore e-mails outside working hours. Firms with more than 50 workers must now draw up charters setting out when employees are not supposed to send or answer e-mails. Supporters of the new law, dubbed the “right to disconnect”, say it will reduce unpaid overtime and burnout. Opponents see it as workplace regulation gone mad.
